Rabbits and Ducks
A couple of years ago I already shared an image that to me conveys a deep truth about the human condition and is one of my all-time favorites. Here comes another favorite that I would want to keep on my page. I was reminded of it when I was discussing with my Mum that even though we humans are genetically so similar that basically every human being can have sex with some other human being on this planet a conceive a child, our cultures and upbringing can make us so different.
This image also conveys the incredible power of believing in something to the point where simple facts and truths cannot be recognized anymore for what they are.
There can be no peace until they renounce their Rabbit God and accept our Duck god.
The cartoon is by Paul Noth and was made for New Yorker Cartoons. I am not sure when it appeared but I found eg a post dating back November 2015 mentioning the cartoon.
